Why did Charlie Sheen buy 2,615 seats to the same game?

To catch a home run ball.

He did it in 1996 at Angels Stadium.
The game featured the Angels vs. the Tigers.
Since both team would end up last in their respective division it wasn't exactly a premier game to go.
That's why he was able to buy the whole first 20 rows behind the left field fence for just 6,500$.

As a matter of fact... he came out empty handed since no home run was hit to the left.
